Julia Pilar González García

Julia González holds a degree in Law from Pompeu Fabra University (2003). After completing her degree, she undertook a Master’s in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences offered by the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University (2003–2005). In addition, she has undertaken numerous specialist courses in criminal law (juvenile justice, prison law, gender-based violence, jury trials, etc.), and has also specialised in compliance following the completion of a postgraduate course on this subject at Abat Oliva University (2017–2018).

  • Since joining the profession, Julia has devoted herself exclusively to criminal law, having represented the interests of both individuals and legal entities, public and private, in various courts and tribunals across the country and in criminal proceedings of all kinds, thanks to the various specialisations recognised by the Barcelona Bar Association and her professional association with prestigious criminal law firms.
  • In the field of teaching, Julia has been involved in the Master’s in Law programme at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Empresa (ISDE), where she has delivered several sessions focusing on corporate crime. She has also served as a guest lecturer in practical sessions on criminal law organised by the University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University, the Barcelona Bar Association, the Official Association of Private Detectives of Catalonia, and the Judicial School. She currently teaches ‘Criminal and Procedural Law’ on the Basic Training Course for Police Officers (2025–2026) at the Catalan Institute of Public Security.
  • Julia held the position of committee member of the Criminal Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association between 2020 and 2026.
  • She has also been recognised and included in the international Best Lawyers ranking in the categories of “Criminal Defence” and “Litigation”.
